The 2465.5 Sperry was grown in a new 1000 sq ft plot this year that was mostly old cow manure and some green compost that was dumped on my lawn. It was an absolute dream to grow because it grew tertiaries anywhere they were needed and grew secondaries so fast that I had to bury vines almost every day. The pumpkin just took off on about day 23 and didn’t slow down until about day 80. The problem was that it did burn some new leaves anytime it was 88 degrees or higher and I did get a decent size hole in the main vine about 2 - 2 1/2 feet from the stem around the middle of September. The main vine rot probably cost me some weight in the end because it was only doing about 2 lbs a day for the last 30 days. Another interesting fact about this seed is that it was the 5th seed to sprout out of eight and after being inside for two weeks it looked the same as my two main plants when transplanted outside. It wasn’t until about day 30 that this plant just decided to outgrow the others. Maybe it was all the nitrogen from the cow manure or maybe it was just a magical seed. Either way I will definitely be growing this seed next year in the same plot as the 2465.5.
