Seeds on right look bigger but it turns out they arent necessarily better. The difference in seed weights wasnt huge.

Good giant pumpkin seeds can range from about .35 grams to about .85 grams... and, well, it was harder measure, but... a good tomato seed weighs .003 to .004 grams. (I weighed groups of seeds and then divided by the number of seeds because the margin of error for the scale becomes a factor when weighing individual seeds.)

So, lots of these smaller seeds must have a good embryo (indicated by weight) inside them, but the seed is a bit scrunched up maybe.

Maybe later I could do a germination comparison. I think the cotyledons might have more trouble emerging from the larger seeds, actually?
