The wind took over yesterday before I secured things today. Despite the fabric blowing around all day only lost one sprout. Lost another to a slug.

Have a couple ideas. First, maybe soil heating cables would be beneficial. Second, maybe some other way of letting the ground get warm would be good. Guessing the white fabric will not allow the sun to heat the ground much. I am worried that the roots wont develop well enough for a first truss blossom if the soil is cold.

Maybe a planting date around early May would be better for getting a good first truss tomato?

There's so much I am still learning/ don't know/ & may do wrong.
