Last year we had a nice, mild, dry early spring which allowed us to rototill and get the patch ready by the middle of March and I planted by April 3rd. This year has been coastal storm after coastal storm and rapidly changing weather day to day with just wet and cooler than normal and super windy. So, I’ve not amended or rototilled the patch yet and have not installed heating cables or put up my hoophouses. By starting seeds today, I’ve got 10 days to 2 weeks to be in the patch and ready, I better get going!
