1097 Beachy: This is the stem of the first pumpkin on the main of the 1097 Beachy. Can a pumpkin with a stem looking like this make it? What can we do to move the stem away? When it was a baby it came up and over the vine and has looked like this ever since. The second pumpkin on the main can be seen in the background. Should we keep that one instead? It was about 4 inches in seize behind the first pumpkin at day 20 past pollination. (See a closeup of that pumpkin in the next photo)
