Time for an update. Stuart has been getting the cover over the main growing area while I’ve been putting my feet up and drinking to much beer on holiday with Sarah. Some of the seeds came up and some didn’t, so the good news is that we have a 998 a 1231 and a 1068 planted in the patch. With seeds like that germinating what could be bad news, well we lost the first 723 seed and another 1068. So after a big deep breath we planted another 723 and two 1502’s. One of the 1502 was up this morning and we are really praying that the 723 comes up in the next few days. The 723 is our key pollinator and would like to think would produce some great seed for the future. But pumpkins tend to have a mind of there own and you just have to go with the flow, the game is to get every LB out of the plants you can.
