This year it looks like the more we try the more problems we find. After last week spending hours filling in round the sides of our 1231 tunnel and heating, it only gained 86LB to end the week at 467LB. One of the reasons is a very fast build up of scarid flies and their larvae have damaged the roots of the plant. Stuart and I both think that although the weather has been a real pain it has taught us a few good lessons and this year is not over yet. Except for the LG’s that is as our only growing fruit has aborted at 40inches.
