I was DEAD SET on growing a 772 Poirier this year. Out of over 20 seeds I started every single one came up fine except BOTH my 772's :( Unfortunately I banked so heavily on that seed that I still have an open spot in my patch. Plan is to grow the 1046 Bowles which is also very orange, but also has the benefit of heavy. I'll be planting it alongside a 1445 Marsh (1407 cross) and letting them race.
