picture time on a rain day. 1.5" of rain yesterday flooded out my job site. first taste of rain these plants have had which is cool by me cuz it was a good deep soaker. hopefully we do not get whacked that hard today with chances of strong storms. knocking on wood as i type. i got the silt fences tight around the plants to prevent possible wind damage and i'll put some plastic lawn chairs over the plants if a storm cell which has a history of producing hail approaches today or tonight. the plants are still small enough that the lawn chairs will work. 2 chairs per plant will be needed now that they are starting to run. here is the 997 #1 plant. the first 2 secondaries should be trainable and laid down with bamboo stakes tomorrow in the warm temps.
