here is the 997 #2 plant on the left and the early stunted 1306 on the right. the 1306 still has yellow tips on the new leaves and you can see some of the early nitrogen deficiences from cold wet soil conditions in some of the first true leaves. still giving the 1306 a chance, but leaning in the direction of the 997 since they are both unproven seeds. i will train the 997 secondary closeset to the 1306 around the back of the 1306 to give it more time to prove itself. the 997 #2 plant is such a beauty and a vigorous grower, but like dick wallace says again and again, "we ain't growin' salad." and the 1306 is 100% 1068 wallace which is as good as it gets genetically. i already have the chance to prove out a 997 so i will give the 1306 at least some more time before whacking time comes.
