Been working on the patch and finally have a fence up around it this year. Also have a water timer and sprinklers ready to rock for the hot summer days in July that we usually get.
Did some vine maintenance last night, all looking good. So far 1423 Wallace leading the pack. 1149 Pukos behind it very close, and the 1405 Bobier.
Having spacing issues as I am trying to figure out how do do the Christmas tree pattern, and keeping up on vine burying has been a challenge.
Females have been spotted on the 1149 and the 1423 at about 8-9 foot out. Still gonna keep looking at 12 foot for females, meanwhile, leaving these along to see what will happen the next week or so. Male flowers are finally starting to pop open. Our weather finally is warming up to seasonable temperatures this week.
Pictures to follow soon.
