so it is 12:30 am and i am having a smoke on my patio swing chair, and i see a critter walking the new chain link fence line. now i have had a couple beers tonight, maybe 3, and i go to investigate. i am thinking with its size it might be a groundhog----wood chuck...whatever. so i get right next to it and it is the biggest damn skunk i have ever seen. a God damn bear skunk...the size of a mother racoon for Christs sake...luckily my crazy ass dog was taking a crap on the other side of the fenced in area, and i retreated in the nick of time before a campbell tomato soup bath. mother nature is a bitch i tell ya. i got lucky and my crazy dog got lucky that we did not both sleep out in the patch tonight.
