Guess who is expecting a female flower!!! This baby should open in about a week. The bud is located 8' out on the main of plant #3. We have no male flowers yet. Today is our first attack of the cucumber beetle. We were ready with the SEVIN on hand and mixed per directions of 3 oz per gallon(3 tablespoons per gallon). We tried to coat the top and bottom of the leaves. There must have been 200 of those little pests. It is a great feeling to see 200 dead cucumber beetles. We applied folar seaweed at 1 teaspoon per gallon.
