here is cosmo kramer (1446 werner) from the side view. still got the fan on the stem split that has completely healed up. i still take a turkey baster and a foldded sheet of paper and blow captan in the stem opening that i can see into. the split never went to the flesh and i just want to keep it nice and dry and fungus free in that area between the stem and the pumpkin. so far so good. got some powdery mildew popping up and will hit every 7 days from here on out instead of the 10-14 like i have been doing. nothing severe, but it is present and needs to be controlled with these heavy cool night time dews. same with the insecticides. just saw my first cuke beetle in a long time and had some aphids on a pop up tert. flower on the free running 997 plant. tonight i will mix eagle and talstar one a kill 2 birds with one stone.
