Today my pumpkin is about 93 inches in circumferance, according to the Stelpflug chart that's around 225 pounds. It's been averaging 6 pounds a day over the past two days. Hopefully the fertilizer that I put down yesterday helped. I only put about 12 gallons down because with the cool weather I don't want a surge of growth to cause my pumpkin to split. I'm so close to my 300 pound goal. It's getting more and more exciting everyday. All I need to do now is spray for bugs, keep the pumpkin dry, fix the shade structure, and hope for warmer weather. I hope my pumpkin can hold up for about 2 more months until Holloween.
