damn!!! lost my 670 Jöbstl pumpkin (670 Jöbstl x 683 Riegebauer, pollinated June 27th) to a stemsplit. It had many soft spots on the stem (the first detected one month ago) which led to the split and a blossom rot...the rot ran into cavity and the whole blossom site was rotten...
That was the reason for the slow growing.
But I ve got the pumpkin on the 683 Riegebauer which develops well!
