After this weekend, I'll clear the remaining 1142 plant out of the patch and complete prep for next year. I stock-piled some compost and a bit of manure from last year but won't add anything till after a soil test.
I've got gypsum, greensand, kelp meal, humic acid, alfalfa meal, and my other organic additives that will go in should the soil test indicate any more balancing needed.
Cutting and loading day is friday....this year I won't need as many friends as in the past and I won't need to construct a tri-pod like Dave Pley needs for his monster....my official Howard Dill pumpkin lifting tarp will do just fine for me this year.
