In the part of Texas I know the primary system that will help you the most is a truck or trailer from which you may add tons of organic components, to build the soil.

A second thing which may more be what you are asking would be to consider drip irrigation. One of the best places to look is on line. Give the word (DRIPWORKS) to google and choose Dripworks of California.

A third factor with or without any of the above would be a cover crop, in your fall period after harvest and a constant mulch during the growing period.

Manures, composts, elements of compost and remineralization are basic.

Test your soil and consider working on PH to arrive at 7.0, in time as you build the basic soil.

The primary factor, in growing big or well, is a basic growing medium built up, to it's best possible condition.

All soils respond, in a positive manor, to these suggestions.

THE OLD TURN ON THE LIGHTS/OFF ARE GREAT TO FIND.Oops
The mini cam systems they see are good also.
If I sell a toy im going to "wire the patch"
If only i could get a shovel that does it automaticly!

Sand the original clear coating, on the hoe handle, with 220 grit sandpaper. Give the hoe handle a linseed oil rubbing. Sharpen the cutting edge with a bastard file. Now that you know what one looks like and feels like use it. When finished wipe the metal with an oily rag, to prevent rust. :)

Skim to cut weeds very close to the soil surface. Do not dig in, or roots and mycorrhizae, will be adversely harmed.

Curse the person who gave you the pumpkin disease not the God who gave you the weeds. ]:o)
