My largest pumpkin weighs 240 lbs. using the ott method and the same with the circumference method. It has been gaining about 10 lbs. consistently per week for the last 3 weeks. Is it possible that increasing fertilizer amounts and frequency will still help the pumpkin? It was pollinated around June 20th. And I have only the one pumpkin on the plant. It is slightly orange and I feed it Peters Plantfood by foliar spray 1 times per week and supplement with 0-0-50 potash at the same time. Any recommendations would be helpful.. I would love to get to 300 lbs. Thank you..... Dan and Lisa.

OOppsss I forgot, I also feed it liquid Seaweed and fish emulsion at the same time. And use Sevin for insects and Captan for any splits/scuffs etc. Basically, can I get it's growth cycle going again. I water every morning for 1 hour with a drip system too. Thanks again!!!!!

Dear Santa143, I realize your season is long over (I just got a new computer from santa #1)it sounds as though you have been fertilizing, and watering properly, and assuming you have at least eight hours of sun per day there are only a couple of things that could be holding your specimin back. Either you are using AG seed stock with poor genetics, your soil Ph is way off (6.7 is ideal), or your soil "tilth" is not good. Hope it helps, Gads....
