From about mid June till weighoff, foliar feeding is the only supplimental fertilization my A.G gets. I rely on the soil fertility to provide the rest. I foliar feed with 1 oz. of Neptune's Harvest fish and seaweed and 1 oz. of molasses per gallon.
I'm wondering how often I should foliar feed? I've been doing it either once or twice a week (it varies). Would every other day be better, or how about every day? Can foliar feeding be overdone? If every other day, or every day, will add 50 pounds to my pumpkin at harvest(compared to once or twice a week), I think may would be worth my while. Can foliar feeding be overdone.
I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I am using the Agro-K program. I foliar feed my plants every night. I have seen no ill effects on my plants other than the fish I was using burned some of the leaves early on so now I dilute that amount to about 1/4 what the reccomended rate was on the label.

feed everyday with some thing--- fish -seaweed-molasses even a water delsolving type of fertilizer --10 5 2 or close is better than nothing --craig

Ya ive found specially with this heat and with the patch drying out so fast an early evening foiler every other night has helped allot. Its been between 90-100 here for almost the past 3 weeks now with NO rain at first my leafs were wilting really bad dureing the day and now for some reason the plants seem to take the heat a bit better

Is it really important to also foliar feed the bottom side of the leaves every time?
Hardly impossible for me with the spraying equipment I have.

I would hit both sides especially id using materials with a track record of supressing Powdery Mildew. Molasses & compost teas are especially good under-leaf at knocking down PM by altering the pH &/or introducing non-pathogenic organisms that will reside on the leaf bottom for a while.

floh, I'm lazy, so I only mist the top of my older leaves and get both sides of the newer growth as far as I can comfortably reach in. It's worked for me, but I really don't know if I'm preventing as much disease as I could doing it this way.

the vine.
