I posted this on another thread, but thought I would do it again so all could see. I'll put my gardening knowledge up against yours Jack. Are you ready for a real lesson? It's time to put up or shut up.

"I'll tell you what GiantJack. I'm a first year grower. I challenge you for heaviest pumpkin OFFICIALLY weighed this fall. Weigh-in must occur at an official GPC event, and the fruit must be solid. Since you have many, many years of experience over me and your fruit is obviously ahead of mine, you have the advantage. Don't worry about me being the underdog. I'm calling you out."

See you at the scales.

Macomb County

As I said from the start, although it's not one of my goals, if I grow one worth hauling all the way up to St. Johns, Michigan, I would. Just to say I did it. I admire your spunk, but I would caution you against putting yourself under too much pressure over calling me out.
The party is just beginning with blow-out season just around the corner. Look through some of last year's diaries and see how far some growers got, then Boom!
I'd rather you beat me than ended up eating chow. I know I won't be putting myself under any pressure because you're calling me out. We'll see in the Fall. I admire your spunk because I wouldn't have the courage to call the average grower on this site out, knowing how quickly fortunes can change and reverse and often do, as in overnight.

Now this is cool. I have seen a lot of things at this site in my 4 years here, but this is a first. Maybe starting a new trend? May the best grower win!

If both grower's fruit go down to splits can the BP community choose the alternate weapons?

Actually, it's about time someone does something about this whole verbal diarrhea thing.

Good for you Monty.

I don't understand how GiantJack can get people so worked up. All you have to do is not pay him any attention. If you want to stop the verbal exchange, just don't reply. If you don't like to read his post don't click on them. I think many are finding these exchanges kind of amusing from the sidelines. Bye the way GiantJack I ran over the end of my mainvine with a Ford 2600 farm tractor, do you think this is too much to crush the vine?

.just a couple ramblings...first off One you are correct just dont read his posts #2 generally the more a person TALKS about his skill the less skill he has #3 if a person upsets you he just won the battle....personally i dont know the guy but have a feeling i have met a few just like him ( hes the guy at the bar that brags about how much money he makes but wont buy a round) cant say anything bad about him just wouldnt go out of my way to meet him ALSO the pinching vine trick is a old one from pot growers to keep plants small & hidden all it does is create scar tissue & restrict stem growth ....the funny thing that i have noticed is that you talk about yourself like you never screwed up.that tells me ( and just my opinion) that all your knowledge is read

Monty does not have a chance. He only uses those methods that are conventional. Go GiantJack!
