I'm just curious as to how the humidity in the air effects the growth of pumpkins. It's been nice and warm (mid to high 80's), but today we had a really nice humidity of 16%. It just seems that all I do is water to keep moisture in the ground and in the plant. Would running my misters help things out?
Thanks
Alan

Yes, misting would raise the relative humidy, while creating the mico climate zone. The trade off is that this also creates a climate that encourages the milldews.

The water that enters the plant travels all the way to the root zones, in little more than an hour. Based on my discovery with misting or overhead watering the challenge is, to get a wet and dry cycle, to reduce the absolute encouragement, of the milldews.
