John....opinions have run for and against it's use. I do not use it because it works by attacking the first tiny hair root emerging from a seed. To my way of thinking a pumpkin root expands totally by a series of tiny hair roots that create the food factory mass throughout the entire patch. I have ask a good many people the specific question relative to the above statement or question. I get no simple yes or no answer. I don't like the maybes and possibilities or claims not specifically based on our specific soft mass rooted pumpkins.

At the price you have it located if I were in the same situation I would get some and experiment. It is commonly used, on lawns and claims are great, for lawn use. I see a major difference here. The lawn is established. Should the product get some root hairs the next rain will push out more hair roots. Will the new hair roots also get hit. I do not know and it is at least an interesting question.
