Whats the average cost for a pick-up bed load of cow manure?

it depends on where you are. if manure is plentiful, you can get it for free alot of times. are you in a rural area?

paid $55 for approx 4 yds just last weekend. Poop was mildly aged, low aroma level, no excess bedding type materials, minimal rocks and sticks etc.
That's the POOP report here from New England. LOL

I had a manure spreader load delivered for a pack of Bluegill fillets and a pack of venison steaks. This reminds me of a funny story...A few years ago, I went to a garden store to buy a few bags of composted cow manure. I plopped the bags on the checkout counter. The gal behind the counter was trying to find the price in the price book. Then she said, "I wonder what that would be under". The place erupted in laughter when I replied "usually under the cow".

My mailman raises beef. so i asked him for some manure. he said you clean the barn out and you can have all you want. The barn hadn't been cleaned in two years. So i got two full truck loads for nothing. just my time. Nice aged and dry manure

the plight of the urban farmer is buying 40 lb bags of composted manure,,, best price I've found is a 1.99..would love a truck load for 20 bucks and compost it. Don't think the neighbors would go for it.

They have that crapp at wal-mart for .79 a bag,
I have a friend that delivered around 3 tons of sheep
manure, last fall we tilled in at least 2/3 of it just in my 20 x 30 patch, and you talk about a difference, the rest goes in my wife's garden and flower beds.

some bags say .5-.5-.5, others like dehydrated manure can be as high as 2-1.4-2 and cost as much as 6 bucks for 40 lbs.
Walmart has ok deals sometimes as well as Home Depot. Bags of topsoil at walmart are 98Cents for 40 lbs. I mix two bags into the mound area and about 2/3 bag of manure with some peat and a little lime.
I am glad I got the pick-up load of pure black horse manure earlier this year Free.
