What is your favorite kelp/seaweed product and why. There are dozens of them out there I'd like to hear how different ones have worked for you. Thanks, Kevin

Your best local buy, in Pennsylvania, may be Fertrell product due, to shipping costs on kelp and fish. The labels and catalog listings give the contents. They have both products seperately packaged as well as a two in one product. There is a relationship between fish and kelp which some feel render both as more valuable when used together. I use their Liquid Kelp and Fish #3. It is available in quarts, gallons and five gallon sizes. Fertrell is a Pennsylvania based firm.

I have used other brands over the years both seperately and side by side, in the same patch. The only difference I can personally determine is the cost. I won't get into the wet and dehydrated arguement. I see nothing signifigant, in the difference, as far as most users would be concerned. concerned.

In Ontario, I have used three products.

Acadian Seaweed Flakes. Used in fall patch prep and at planting time to the soil at up to 20 pounds per 1000sq.ft.

Acadian Soluble Seaweed Extract. Foliar & Drench mixed with tea.

Neptunes Harvest Liquid. Foliar & Drench mixed with tea

I've used Neptune's Harvest & Dramm's Fish/Seaweed products. Both are made the same way, just a little difference in pricing. Both worked well though.

The "E" part is fulvic and humic acids, along with Multiple Polyglucosides.

We have to pick up at warehouse. Delivery is I believe would be $115 dollars.

What do you mean doc? Neptune's is 2-4-1, this is 2-5-0.2. AleX Noel.

Gorsh....I locked into just two products, one dehydrated and one wet. Both have higher N contents. Two Fertrell fish products contain 4 N. When kelp is used in combination the N goes higher. I always thought that this is more the norm, for cold pressed fish and combos of fish and kelp.

Again not, to suggest lack, of quality, we note that Neptunes is one, of the most expensive with the least N content. Quality, considering much favorable testomony is fine. What you get, for your bucks, may be another worthy consideration.

I did not mean anything. I was asking a question and calling attention, to stated facts, of others. I was hoping someone would have a ligitimate answer.

Actually I want less nitrogen in my mix as I mix Calcium Nitrate, and molasses with the fish and Kelp...Making close to a 5-5-5 spray.
