Can you harm a pumpkin plant with too much limestone added to soil or will too much not do anything. Thanks

yes, it is possible to over lime. i would go with the reccomended rate, or a little over since we usually go deeper than what the reccomendations were written for. to see a good article about the subject, check out this link: http://www.kinseyag.com/Article2.htm

Jim, you won't hurt the plant, but you will raise your soil PH considerably by adding alot of lime, which in turn will affect your plant growth. Steve
