I am getting some soluble kelp for the patch this year. My question is, how much do I mix with my miracle grow in a Miracle Gro sprayer? Half and Half or what?

Herbie,

I don't use miracle grow (except for a small drench of 10-52-10 Ultra Bloom at the start of flower time) so can't give you mixing ratio, but equal to or less than the directions on the label should give you enough advice to go on.

Try "search site" and use the keyword mixing - there is alot of info!!

I would do some research on some other ferts like Agro-K. I would also recommend not using too much Miracle Grow and stick to the Kelp and use some soluable fish. From my readings slow releasing organics have been well proven on this site and in general. Look into Don Langevin's How to grow GP's III. I found it to have some great information obtained by some great growers at SNEPGA and all over the world.

Everyone has a different idea of course, and I may try that later. But, if I go half and half miracle grow and the soluble kelp I just got in the mail, that should be fine shouldn't it?

That Algacore is messy stuff. There was a thin coat of it inside of the shipping box. Pumpkinsupply.com shipped it well, and the bags had no tears, but it is so fine that it seems to come out of the seams in small amounts. I like the small mixing ratio too, it should be very cost effective.
