It has warmed up in the Northwest to 60 degrees today...i can almost justify starting up my tiller. I am planning on adding about #30-40 gypsum to my 700 sq ft patch. A grower in my area recommended the amount. I wa just wondering if i need to add it right before planting or shuld I add the gypsum now. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Gypsum takes a while to leach through the soil and do it's good stuff. I would add it now. You can add 5 pounds per 100 square feet several times during the season also and water it in if your soil test calls for it.
