OK! I bought some Fertrell 3 liquid fish and kelp. The directions are really broad. it gives 2 quarts per acre, 3 quarts per acre and gives an example " it may be diluted at the rate of 2 quarts of concentrate to 5 - 20 gallons of water"....... with that said, I have read on some web pages to dilute it at 1 - 3 Tablespoons per gallon... There is a big difference in amounts that I am reading..... Not much info on this gallon I bought, such as how much per gallon, how often to apply etc. Can anyone help shed some light on this subject?????? any and all info will be extremely appreciated. Thanks from a crazy gardner!!! LOL

Assuming you mean as a foliar spray, I've used one to two onces per gallon in the past, once or twice a week.

I have used Fertrell #3 kelp/fish at the rate of two ounces per gallon. I apply two gallons per week foliar on 1000 sq. ft. This requires some run off directly, to the roots from each standing leaf. While possibly off a little I assess an NPK value, to this product, at 4.5 - 1.5 - 1.5. I came up with this from their catalog. In the catalog the fish is 4-1-1 while the kelp is of little NPK value. Kelp is used for it's micro-elements from A - Z, growth plant hormones, vitamins, enzymes and carbohydrates. Kelp is a biostimulant root system developer ad minor-nutrient product. Kelp use enables herbicide and fungicide reductions while maintaining the same control or kill effectiveness.
