This might sound like a dumb question, but when you use fish emulsion and liquid seaweed how much do you use? the directions on the bottle say to use one cap per gallon of water, but how many gallons of water should I use,one gallon, two gallons?? As you can probably tell, this is my first time growing AG's, so any advise would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo (thanks)

Hey PD1, First post I've seen from Hawaii..The directions are good. Watering is something only you will know. If your soil is sandy you'll have to water more ergo use more fertilizer since it will leach through your soil quickly. You have to watch the plant it will tell you when your doing something wrong. leaf color, burned edges, yellowing etc. strongly suggest langevin's books on how to grow world class pumpkins to anyone who's just starting. plenty of reading here to. lots of old posts to go through and How to section to read. Good Luck hang loose chuck

I start out with one gallon. Then as the plant gets bigger I gradualy use two then three and so on.

Thanks for the replys. So I guess there is no set amount to use per square foot, it mainly depends on the size of the plant. I agree that langevins book is great I bought episode 2 a few months ago, and I still read it almost every day. I just ordered his first book a couple of days ago, along with the 2000, 2001 land O'giants. I got it bad !
