I was curious about everyones opinions are on foliar feeding with fertilizer. Does it really help and do the leaves really take the fertilizer in? I use liquid seawead and fish emulsion because I heard it helps powdery mildew. But what about the water solubles used during the season? Opinions and info would be great. Thanks, Jim

Yo Jim,
Yeah man it does help. Also helps if your soil is poor and the roots are not taking up the fertilizer properly as it by-passes the root system and get right into the plant within seconds. If you mist your plants when they are drooping they pick up very quickly so this shows that the leaves take in the moisture straight away and the same works if it has fertilizer in. I use foliar sprays all season.

Observe the form of the plant. Not only will the leaves absorbe fertilizer, but if applied gently will follow the shape of the leaf down to the roots at each leafs' base. Your plant directs liquids to it's roots.
