Is there any easy way to spread sulpfur over my patch to bring down the PH

best way is to get a tow behind spreader for behind a lawn tractor or 4 wheeler. You will likely be applying 25-35 lbs/ 1000ft 2 or more and even spreading is important.
These can be rented for the day at most tool rental places.

Unless you have thousands of square feet, just do it by hand and till in when you till in the spring anyway.

As for rates, be careful. Some people only need small amounts to affect ph some need HUGE amounts to make small changes (me).

There are spreadable granular & "split pea" grades of sulfur that are much easier to handle than powder. Like pelletized lime it is spread, watered & then incorporated.

What about "dormate Spray" its listed as a sulfer based soil conditioner, we use Lily Miller on our fruit trees.
