I don't have enough pressure to efficiently water my patch right now. No matter what tweaking I try, I can't get over ~48 psi. I know the obvious- get a deeper well but someone was telling me about a possible hole in the air bladder of my tank? I don't know anything about this but any suggestions for quick fixes would be appreciated.

48 psi seems pretty good to me... A deeper well wont nessecarily give you more pressure. A bigger pump will. Sounds like you need a well with more recharge... No quick fix there.

There are too many different type wells and pumps to hazard guessing at ideas to answer your question.

I'm going through some changes here on my well as we speak,,I found that getting in a "well man" is the answer. I tweaked mine and got the pressure up but still was lacking proper volume/gpm to get what I needed for irrigation. Turned out that I had multiple problems with the original hookup here. A few professional tweaks included some basic repiping, a new bladder tank, and a larger supply line to the field. That said, with the redesign I have 10gpm @ 60psi not bad off a 1/2hp deepwell with 160' of mainline.

Spend a few $$ and hire a reputable pro to check out your system would be my advice.

Jim, A couple 55 gallon drums on top of your roof will look appealing to your neighbors , try that until you get a letter in the mail from the county ordinance guy Jim!, Ha!

I agree with Dans Idea ,its a good one.

I got an offer for a 500 gallon tank for free. It's in great shape but the problem is it used to have asphalt in it. Maybe I'm going out on a limb here but my guess would be that it would totally poison my patch. Any comments?
