Central CT

Pick up a box of granular fertilizer at Agway today. Its
0-0-55 which I thought was going to be high potasium but
its labeled "Muriate of Potash". Now I'm not sure if I have
the right stuff? Thanks for any input.

You got the right stuff, potash is one of the most common sources of potassium in fertilizer.

Great, thanks. Any idea how much to use? From looking around
the site, I was going to use 1/2 cup per 5 gallons.

I've been using 1 cup to 5 gal without problem but it seems to be grower preference.

Nova Scotia

Not knowing any better I had added about 5 POUNDS per plant
dry potash away from vines a bit to avoid burns then waterered slightly to start dissolution.Used these large amounts about once a week throughout Sept only. I can't say I saw any benefits as circumferences etc didn't jump at all
and I seriously wonder if it might not encourage premature aging, though I am no one to judge. I would love to know other peoples thoughts on the latter possibility. Tuppence
