I know there has been some discusion regarding chlorine. I found this product which claims to remove 85-90% of the chlorine in your water.

This is their description of how it works:

"The Gard'n Gro converts free chlorine to a harmless chloride. Its unique ³redox" media of copper and zinc works on the principle of electrochemical oxidation reduction. The Rainshow'r Gard'n Gro is completely non-toxic. The ³redox" media will remain effective for hundreds of usages. Sunshine and a water tank are cheaper, no more Cl after a day or so.

Water tanks are cheaper than 40 dollars? Then you have to pressurize the water again or lift the tank(s) 20 feet up in the air.

If I have to use city water in my tanks I add stuff thats found at fish stores. When you put new water in tanks in removes the chlorine and other bad byproducts.

make sure you don't have Chloramine instead of just chlorine, chloramine will not gas off in a storage tank like chlorine will.
a greenish tint in a white bathtub or bucket when filled with water usually indictaces Chloramine.

This filter is supposed to be good for Chloramine also btw.

It must work. They provide you with test strips to make sure it's working.

I think I'm going to give it a try next year.

Ben Bortner I would really like to Thank You for posting this or I would have probly never found anything like it.
I water with City Water by the hose and it has Chlorine in it I certainly plan to look intot his for next year.Thanks Again.

I've used the garden gro for the past two years. (www.freshwatersystems.com). Mine did not come with test strips and I have always wondered if it really worked or not. I considered sending in treated and untreated samples to the lab, but found their price for water testing to be to high.
