I just tilled under 65 bags of leaves in my Pumpkin Patch. Do I need to put some kind of fertilizer into the soil to help compensate all the leaves?

You should get a soil test to see where you are. It will tell you the NPK percentages, Organic Matter %, PH and lots of other good things. You can start adding now and into the spring.

Yes JOE,,you just added carbon,,now you have to add N to help get it broken down,,manure is the simply answer Norm is right. Rob is correct also in that you need a soil test or you're just guessing where you're at. Add some manure asap,,,,in early spring pull samples and get them to a lab for testing. In the mean time spend time researching soils and building a good organic home for your plants.

Joe,
A nursery in Bountiful that I trust quite a bit suggested adding a fertilizer called "Activator". It helps release the nutrients form the leaves better making them more available to your plants faster.
