Saw this stuff at http://www.fertrell.com/soil_amendments.html, and would seem to be a decent source of calcium but dont think its cleated. Have no idea what the other 66% is either.

Sorry should have added that I am trying to apply Russ Landry's principals from the "A trip down the calcium Highway article". In short, got to get the calcium avaiable from the start or its to late a fruit set.

I used it last year. It is, as I recall, a chemical variant of calcite. (and I probably used the wrong term to describe the difference) I would expect Tremor to chime in on this one.

According to the label it is finely ground sea shells. I would be careful of the soil's pH when using this material. Depending on how fine it is ground, it could be many years before this Ca source becomes plant available;.
