when is the best time to apply gypsum,fall or early spring.
Is this product a fast acting application?

Hey Dave, I could be wrong but Gypsum is used as a soil amendment to help with clay soil. It can be added any time it helps keep the clay from rebinding like sand. I'm in heavy clay and the only problem I've had using gypsum is that it does upset my calcium levels. So much so that I couldn't add any lime this year while the calcium drops off. I think you will see a difference right away I'd mix it with some sand if you have all clay to break up then add the OM...and mix it all up..Chuck

Gypsum is applied all the year round. Even is dissolved in the irrigation water and applied when the crop is growing. It is also said you can use it to improve your soil texture no matter what type of soil it is. Good luck.
