My 4 pumpkins have all slowed all at once ,not sure why! they did good until approx 600 lbs & there at 40-45 days old & some were doing 38 per day for many days , but now aprox 10-15 per day , the weather is same as has been 85-90-& 65 -60* low,, There to young for such a slowdown !! I did stop useing the fish 2.5 weeks ago , but still use kelp & humic ,, Anyways has anyone used 0-0-50 before & what did the weights do after applying ??? Was it noticeable ?? thanks in advance anyone !!!

I used it once three years ago and my fruit split soon after so I never used it again.

I use it for a soil prep before planting every year(spring/Fall).I know Pap @ Ron Wallace do the same.
I also use it really ''sparingly'' right about this time of year if I think my pumpkin needs a little push.

I took a chance last year and used very very ''LITTLE''at the end of AUG and middle part of Sept last year on 2 plants that ended up being my two biggest pumpkins, and they ended up going very heavy, but cant say 100% this is the reason they went heavy. I also made sure my soil test wasn't through the roof before I used it,which it was border line, but if it was real high I wouldnt have never used any in fear of blowing em up.

Be careful with it Fish, I remember I used it about 5 years ago and my plant leaves ended up looking all bloated and stiff and they turned a almost bluish green that ended up killing a plant. I used a tad to much, lol. I grabbed hand fulls of the stuff and spread it out under and around my plant(about 6 handfulls), Needless to say this was a little to much, lol. 6 handfulls was enough to do 10 plants, not one. Ha! I learned a lesson that's for sure.
I always ask someone(Steve) when applying anything to my plants now, haven't lost a plant yet when applying fertilizer since. (knock on wood)

Remember that Steve?,,,,LOL
