I think I've over watered my plant. I have heavy soil and where the water has been pooling there is some kind of green mold growing. The area also smells like a stagnant pond. I've stopped watering and am going to break up the soil to air it out but is there something I need to apply to it to keep from spreading some kind of disease to my plant?

I have had mold grow in my planting area in the past. I believe it is due to the moisture of watering and the lack of air flow in the cold frame. You should get some air moving in there during the day. I would not use a fungicide yet.

Thanks Ken, I cultivated the area on saturday in hopes it would "air out" and the stench seems to be gone. I have also switched to just watering the hills instead of letting the soaker hoses water were there wasn't any growth ('cept fer weeds).
