Just Checking if a 40 Lb. Bag of Pelletized Gypsum will raise my Calcium levels from 1500ppm more towards 2800ppm?
The Chemical Breakdown on the bag of Pellitized Gypsum is the following...
Calcium Sulfate(CaSo4 + 2 H2O)75%
Calcium (Ca) 18%
Sulfur (S) 15%
My concern is if the sulfur level in the Gypsum will lower my pH? I added a 40 Lb bag of Calcilitic lime to bring my pH from 5.8 to 7.0. Will the 15% sulfur have that much of a impact on reversing my newly adjusted Ph?

That amount of sulfur won't be an issue.

it takes 1 lb of sulfur per 1000 sq ft to change soil ph from 7 to 6 about 1 lb of sulfur in a ton of gypsum

Depends on the soil type. My pH changed from 7.4 to 7.2 with the addition of 150 lbs of sulfur over 1500 sq ft.

jordan does have a point i did forget that from my soil test and my soil type the lab reccomended .75 to 1lb of sulfur per 1000sq ft also my sulfur level in the soil was very low
