I do beekeeping as a hobby and have some old frames from a hive that didn't make it over the winter still full of honey. I was going to throw them out but stated thinking honey is plant nector and beewax is made from honey.. sounds like it might make good compost. only thing is it would attract ants and other bugs. Anyone ever try this?

Honey has anti microbial properties. And you want mibrobes in your compost. The honey residue might kill the good guys you want.

Never thought of that, garbage it is. Glad I posted this before going ahead with it.
