I have never used one but was thinking of adding it this year. Can you just use a cuttings supplement? any comment would be helpful, thanks. I want big healthy roots.

There is more to big roots than just fertilizer. Make sure your soil is nice an loose down deep. Roots don't grow well in compacted soil. Good drainage is essential. Wet soil causes root rot problems. Some of the beneficial bacteria products can help overcome root disease problems. Micorhizae is important also. Last year I used Espoma starter plus with the bacteria and micorhizae along with Aliette fungicide and it worked great. No root rot even after the patch was flooded. For fertilizer, phosphorus sitmulates root growth.

So PHC flower saver plus is basically just mycorrhizae mixed with some organic ferts and marketed with a fancy name attached.

Richard, just use Mycorrhizae.

Here is the label for this product;

North Shore Boyz, do you anything special for the planting root area, or just Mycorrihizae.

Not really Richard, I use a bit extra of kelp meal and granular humic acid in the planting area.

I might just stick to Espoma Toner like I used last year, along with some Mycorhizae.
