I am on the lookout for a good misting timer. So far I have found that the affordable watering timers either don't have enough start times (usually 4-6 per day) or have limited duration of misting program (Nelson has one with a maximum 3 hour misting time). The temp goes over 100 F most days in the summer here for more than 3 hours. I figure I have 3 possible options..
1. Buy the Nelson timer and only get 3 hours per day but the misting will be frequent during that 3 hours.
2. Buy a low pressure timer that does 9 times per day and stretch out the 9 start times over a 5 hour period.
3. Find a better timer that you know about? I have a small budget.
Suggestions as to best strategy for a hot location would be appreciated.

check out the dripsworks site. Cant remember the price, but you can mist whenever you need.

I just got an e-mail update from Dripworks. They found an old stock of some which can no longer be found. Dripworks claims they are much more reliable and will allow for more daily cycles than any current model being sold. They will sell until they're gone.

I decided on the Nelson one from ExtremePumpkinStore.com because Tom helped me with information that the Nelson one has 7 additional start times in addition to the 3 hour max misting cycle. So I can have 3 starts before the mist cycle and 4 after each day essentially extending the misting cycle and even taper the interval. I should have mentioned before I was also looking for the timer to be a hose connection one. So between Nelson timer and misters/filter/regulator I got from DripWorks.com I should be in good shape this year.
