i have a 6' long piece of clear plastic lightweight tubing that i used yesterday to drench the soil around the plants. it is used during the drilling of earth borings in certain circumstance and i grabbed a couple from the shop i work at. i unscrewed the tops off a couple 2 gallon watering cans and poured my drench mix right where i wanted it to go down the tube covering a nice uniform area in a 6' radius by moving then pouring then moving then pouring without pouring all over the leafs. it worked nice with the row of walking boards i have into the plants evey three secondary vines. good coverage and it worked great. figure i would share this method but not sure where a person would get such tubing, maybe at a good hardware store. clear plastic yet rigid and lightweight. easy to carry into the plant under one arm along with 2 sprinkling cans.

sorry boz, i never saw your follow up. it is just a clear light weight plastic tube about 6' long and 2" in diamter. it is nice and light to put under the arm while carrying in 2 watering cans into the interior of the patch. and then it gives you the reach to stay on one walking board and reach 6' from that spot in a circle. because it is clear it is easy to see how much you are actually sending down the tube from the sprinkling cans with the tops unscrewed off. besides seeing what comes out the end and how much you you are pouring into the tube, the clear tubes just makes it easier to see exactly what you are doing. move the tube under the leaves, tilt and pour down the tube. stop pouring, move tube to another spot in the area, and repeat. i will take a pic and post it on tuesday, my weekly drench day in a 6' radius around each stump just to feed the best established root system of the plant so far and slightly feed the whole plant this way. i do not overlead the entire plant with a drench, just around 6' around the stump to give the plants some extra weekly nourishments. i mix neptunes seaweed and fish at 2 tablespoons per gallon and humic acid at the drench rate of your individual humic acid brand and only do 2 full 2 gallon sprinkling cans per plant once a week. just a slight weekly kick of energy. it has been over 6 weeks since last merit drench, so tomorrow i will mix in some of that too while doing the job.
