I set up a Nelson Timer (faucet based) and misting system yesterday morning. I set programs to run a couple minutes every half hour from 10am to 1230am. Then I ran mist program to run 3 hours. Then one last 4:30 run for a couple minutes. I have this set up with fine misters. It ran great all day yesterday, turning on and off at correct times. Then this morning I wake up and it is running even though none of the programs are set to go at night or in the early morning. It must have been on a couple hours because the ground and plant were really soaked. The readout says the valve is closed even though it is obviously open. The readout has water on the inside and the buttons have water/bubbles on the inside - yikes! It says low battery even though I put in brand new alkaline batteries when I installed it yesterday. So I switch the batteries with another brand new pair (I'm using the same batch in my camera flash and they are fully charged) and it also says they are low battery. Apparently water leaked into timer unit from the valve. I'm surprised the electronics portion of the valve computer aren't sealed from the water valve. There is no leak from the faucet to timer unit connection. Anyone run into this problem? It seems like the unit must be toast at this point. I need to get a quick replacement because temps are hitting 106 already.

If you got the timer from Dripworks give them a call. I heard they are helpful over the phone.

I got it from ExtremePumpkinStore and Tom Privitera is taking great care of me. They have amazing customer service. So it looks like my problem will be resolved very quickly.
