I've been thinking about using drip tape this year, but a lot of websites say not to curve it. The shortest sections of drip tape I've seen is 75 ft and as small as my patch is (400 sq ft), a 75 ft section would have to be curved or turned back a couple of times. Can you curve drip tape without compromising water flow? If so, how?

My experience is this:
1.as long as the curves are not too tight
2.held in position with wire pegs (to avoid kinking)
3.keep length of run within limits(or in other words...)
3.keep pressure correct throughout tape length
there is no reason not to curve tape.
Having said that 75 ft sounds like a long way to push water up and back and back again. Depending on your dripper flow rates and spacings of course.

Are you talking gravity or presure system??I would think presure would be fine.Gravity maybe not.

Drip tape is designed to be used in a pressure-regulated manifold type configuration. Is it your intent to use it as you would soaker hose?

Drip tape is cut from a bulk roll to the length desired and adapted to a manifold supply line, with the tape sections spaced evenly from 10" to 18", depending on soil type. The ends of each tape section are crimped with special fittings available from the tape supplier, so length really shouldn't be an issue.

Here is how I do mine.

A main line the length of the patch, then tap into it and run a drip tape the width of the patch every 15 inches. (distance between tapes will depend on how long you water and how your soil drains). The tape gets cut and terminated at the end instead of turning it.
