I'm hearing different numbers does anyone know what the best numbers are???
N,P,K,cal., mag, PH, OM all that stuff???
can U have to much of anything?
Can you put to much Granulated Kelp for instence.
I put my soil test in my diary if anyone wants to look and comment.

I'm no expert but most kelp products I've seen have pretty low concentrations of the primary nutrients so it would be hard to overdo it. You'd probably run out of money before you burn any plants.

FireFly, When it comes to the best numbers you will hear plenty of different ideas on the best numbers. I have done a lot of research and have seen soil tests reports for plenty of monsters pumpkins and the numbers can very greatly. One thing I have noticed is just about all of the soils are jacked up with high ppm but just to different degrees, soil type, sun and watering plays a big role in your results as well.

Yes, you can have too much of every element in your soil, the best soil will be a well balanced soil.

Yes, you can put too much kelp down. Everything in the kelp is very usefull to your soil except for the salt which is in a lot of the granular kelp brands you will find. I have seen granular kelp that is 3 or 4% salt content which means if you put down 100lbs of kelp that would be 2-4lbs of straight salt you are putting in your soil.

I would give advice on your exact numbers but I am self taught when it comes to soil numbers and I don't want to risk polluting these boards with bad suggestions. lol that never happens.
