The guys at Neptune's Harvest sell crab shell as a calcium supplement...As a side note, does anyone have any suggestions on where and how often to apply it?

I bought Cal Mag too for later on. My Cal levels are pretty high right now, so not sure if I'll end up using though.

Luke, you would be surprised at just how much Calcium our plants actually use!
We ammend our soil trying to balance it before the season starts, a major part of this is the calcium to magnesium ratio. We use Cal Mag Max because it maintains that balance, as it contains Calcium and Magnesium in the proper ratio.

When you spray calcium, be shure to apply to the under side. I use calcarb. From my studing i've learned that when calcium bicarbonate is absorbed through the leaves and light photons collide with it. The product is your Ca that you want, in addition to co2 thats allready inside cell wall for resporation. Normal air is about 340-370 ppm. Plants have a threshold of 1500ppm before groth actualy starts to slows down. People have been using co2 inrichment for years now in side. This is the most usefull way to use it outdoors. grow them huge!
