Hi i am currently growing 3 plants prizewinner and two 730 Dill's 06' with the prizewinner with a 8 foot vine and no pumpkins growing only females waiting to be pollinated. As for the 730 dill 06' one of them is at 6 ft and only has females waiting to be pollinated. and the last 730 dill 06' plant has a vine length of around 8 ft with a female about the size of nickle, but not pollinated yet. I spayed some Alaska fish fertilizer this morning around 5 am (5-1-1).I am wondering what my happen within the next few weeks.and i just planted the seeds straight into the ground this year. today was the first day i have ever done a foliar feed for the plant. i am 16 so i am just starting to understand the fertilizing process.
Thanks.

Yes, you are a few weeks behind but there is still plenty of time to grow a decent sized pumpkin.

You need about 60 days from time of pollination to realize most of the growth potential. So depending on your frost date you are right there. Your plants look good so dont overdo the ferts or your pumpkins will abort.

Strange that there is no leaf at that node. That one looks to be about 2 days away.

65 most of your pumpkin growth will be in the first 50/60 day's.If your around 6000 ft at your parker location frost can come early. If you get a good one going you may want to rig up poles and ropes so you can cover the plant in early september-good luck joe s.
